Our Story:
In May 2008, a close friend was battling breast cancer & needed to have a PET scan. The cost for this scan was $2,500.00 and because it not covered by OHIP, she was forced to pay for it out of her own pocket. We were outraged that she should have to deal with this burden on top of battling for her life! Luckily, she was able to pull the funds together and have the scan…but what if she couldn’t…what if you couldn’t?
This got us thinking…several of us were Hockey Moms including our friend; and not only is hockey a key cornerstone of our business; it is engrained in the fabric of Canada.
And so, the Hockey Moms Against Breast Cancer product line was born! Through this line we will be able to donate a substantial portion of all merchandise sales to breast cancer patient care and research.
